Our Mission
Mission Statement
Our mission is to enrich the lives of people living with intellectual and development disabilities through social connections, family support, the arts and recreational opportunities.
How Do We Get There?
BTNM aims to regularly open the Better Together Activity Club (BTAC) doors during the summer of 2025. With a current database of 200 individuals, the BTNM Board and its volunteers actively engage with potential stakeholders to foster and strengthen relationships with the broader community. As these relationships deepen, the community of support for members, their families, and their caregivers will expand.
The community hub will serve as a central resource for information and activities, contributing to the overall well-being and development of the community.
Increased accessibility for community involvement for adults who are differently-abled.
Increased inclusivity, creating a welcoming and accessible space for the differently-abled, their families, and their caregivers.
Expanded resources such as space for art programs, community festivals, dances, parties, concerts, holiday celebrations, game nights, health and wellness programs, outdoor recreation, and multi-age connections.
A safe environment for people to be themselves without fear of judgment.
We urge our community to join us in taking proactive and positive steps towards change!
βThere comes a moment when you realize that what youβre advocating for is more than just accommodations. You are really advocating for someoneβs quality of life. Thatβs the moment you realize you wonβt give up.β
