Our Mission

Mission Statement

Better Together Northern Michigan exists to enrich the lives of people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities through social connection, family support, the arts, and recreational opportunities.

How Do We Get There?

We are a Northern Michigan community where people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families are supported, valued, and empowered to live enriched lives.

Better Together envisions a world where this community has a place to belong, a home to feel secure, and opportunities to contribute- building fulfilled lives through connection, creative expression, housing, and work.

We urge our community to join us in taking proactive and positive steps towards change!

There comes a moment when you realize that what you’re advocating for is more than just accommodations. You are really advocating for someone’s quality of life. That’s the moment you realize you won’t give up.”
